Immigration Bureau & visa

Last week we had to go to Tagbilaran again to get our visa. We found the right place and first we needed to fill out some paperwork. When that was all done they told us that they need our passport pictures which we didn’t bring because we didn’t know.

But luckily they told us that we can have our pictures taken in this same building but just on a different floor. Well we went there but as always it doesn’t go that smoothly in here because of the one and only almighty Filipino style.

Apparently their computers didn’t work properly so they sent us to some other place nearby. We weren’t really happy about it, because in Tagbilaran there’s so many feeling people and it’s such a head ache to even get across the street (nobody knows that they are doing).

Also Tom had just stepped on a nail recently and he couldn’t walk that much… Oh well… We needed the visas so we had no choice but to get our stuff together and just go there fast. We set our minds to take the journey to this other “photo studio”, got the pictures taken which were horrible as always, went back still alive and then we waited I think almost 2 hours to get the papers done and approved.

Information for fellow travellers, if you have a memory stick with your picture on it or a phone that takes pictures, you can easily take the picture at home or even on the spot while you are filling out the paperwork.

They will accept it anyways and you will probably not have to wait for so long. We didn’t know that so it took so long to get everything done.

Also the other day we decided to go see the biggest waterfall in Anda. Me and Tom went with our motorcycle and on the other motorcycle we had Anni, Janika and her son Armin.

We searched for the right place a little while but once we found it the road was all uphill and there were a lot of loose gravel/rocks on the road. Me and Tom headed up first, everything was alright but the road was seriously rough, we were little worried about the others because they had three people on the bike. So we decided to turn back and go see how they are doing, just in case.

Well once we got there it was bad news. Somehow the first wheel went up in the air so they had fallen off the motorcycle.

Anni was the last person on the bike so she fell first, then Armin was next and Janika followed up. Luckily the accident wasn’t all that bad and they are fine now.

You could hire local habal habal, to help you drive up the horrible road or consider going by car.

We went to see the local doctor right after so they got their wounds checked and cleaned. I’m sure it’s just going to be a memory that they will never forget and hopefully next time they’ll go there on four wheels.

But it’s not all bad news, as it could seem from this update – But we have to talk about the mishappenings and cons of this adventure. I promise that the next post will me more about the positive happenings 🙂
