Paradise island Bohol

We are now in an island called Bohol, in a small town called Anda. The lifestyle in here is quite different than we were used to back in Estonia.

People are living in very poor conditions and almost in every corner you’ll literally see bunch of trash whether it’s someone’s backyard or just out there in this beautiful nature.

Over all people are very friendly and trying to help you as much as they can. Everyone will say ” hey ” when you pass them on the street.

The lifestyle here is super laid back and chill. You’ll see people hanging out on the beach and drinking rum at two o’clock in the afternoon. If you want to meet someone at a certain time, make sure you have time to wait because they’ll be at least 20 minutes late.

Information for ladies who would like to come visit Anda one day. Make sure you will buy everything you could possibly need before coming to Anda. You might think that if you forgot something you can buy it here…well let me tell you… You can’t !

All the body products like body lotion and sunblock have whitening ingredients in them. Also products like tampons, hair conditioner and nail products are not existent in this town.

While we’ve been here we have met some very nice people. The local Estonian couple who have lived here for 3,5 years, Birgit and Robin and their two kids are adorable. They’ve done alot for Anda. They run this Andakidz community center here.

We met this Estonian girl Anni who lives right across the street from us and another Estonian couple Kai and Tõnis with their two kids. They are all super nice and very friendly people. Such a pleasure to meet fellow Estonians when you’re so far away from home.

We settled in our new home in Anda for a month at the moment . if we want to stay here longer then we will probably extend our stay in this house or find a new one to stay in.

This house we have at the moment is small but very cozy. We have our own little kitchen in here and everything.

On our first week we did a bunch of stuff. Met this guy James who was so kind, he rented us his motorcycle.

We also went on a trip to the jungle with him to see the biggest cave in Anda, also discovered some cave pools very near to our place. Went to some beautiful beaches near by, and even tried our first young coconut. The coconut water was delicious but I didn’t eat it inside. I like the old coconut way more.
The other day we had dinner at Anni’s place. The food was so lovely and it reminded us a little bit of Estonia.
Tom will write more in near future 🙂
